Check out what’s changed over the summer!

Next time you visit our Learning Space, you will notice a few changes in the way things look. We are excited about the changes that will make admin stuff a little easier on us all.

The biggest change impacts how new users register for an account, how current users manage their account, and how our community of learners enrolls for training. Read on for more information.

New users can now self-register for an account to access our Learning Space. Anyone with a Rec North account will continue to log in, as always. Creating an account means that a recreation leader from Kimmirut, NU can connect through our learning community with leaders from Teslin, YT or Aklavik, NT.

A Rec North account gives access to our training. The Recreation North Training Program offers a variety of learning events (mini-courses) that develop competencies – essential knowledge and skills – for working and volunteering in community recreation across the North. Choose to self-enrol in one or more of our 19 learning events, a Certificate in Northern Recreation Leadership, and/or a Certificate in Northern Recreation Management.

What’s great about our training? Our training is meaningful and relevant for anyone in northern, rural or remote communities. You can learn from work or home. Training is interactive and flexible. We offer reasonable fees with discounts for members of a territorial recreation and parks association or for enrolling in a certificate. And best of all, you become part of a community!

Browse www.recnorth.ca for more information, view our upcoming schedule, or log in to our Learning Space and check it out!

We look for to you joining us in September 2022!
